KidPower

KidPower Summer volunteering opportunity for those who are 13 years or older.

Help younger children play the Summer Reading Game and assist with special library events. It’s fun, it’s great, and you earn work experience, too!

During the summer, many Alameda County Library branches have Kid Power Volunteer programs in which children in grades 6-8 help with the summer reading activities.

The primary duty of Kid Power volunteers is to help children sign up and play the Summer Reading Game. Volunteers may also be asked to assist in simple craft projects and children’s programs (for example, set up and clean up).

The Kid Power program is a positive way to serve in the local community while developing work skills and experience.
