Summer 2009 Summer Reading
Be Creative @ your library!
At last, summer vacation is finally here! Now, there are loads of ways to spend your 3 months off, but participating in this year’s Summer Reading Program has to be one of the best ways to use that time. Studies show that children who don’t read over the summer lose a wealth of knowledge. Participating in the summer reading program is not only a great way to ensure that kids will be ready to start back at school in the fall, but it’s also a lot of fun!
Every year thousands of children participate in the Summer Reading Game at Alameda County Library. We hope to beat our 37,000 visits received for our 2008 game!
Join the fun and pick up your gameboard at any of the branches from June 8th through August 15th. Spinning and stamping happens from June 15th through the end of summer.
Be Creative! is the Summer Reading 2009 program for kids of all ages.
